Quick answer: Yes. However, to use most features, such as gender, location, and age filters, as well as virtual masks, you need to become a VIP member.

Shagle Random Video Chat Experience
Shagle is a free random video chat site where you can easily log in with your Google account or email address and start chatting with strangers in under a minute. You can choose between video chat and text chat depending on your preference. If you are not comfortable turning on your webcam, the system directs you to a text chat experience instead. Unlike Omegle, Shagle offers mostly paid features, which is why the site displays several offers encouraging users to become VIP members and unlock all of its features.
Shagle offers three gender options: Male, Female, Couple. This suggests that there are also couples on the platform who are interested in meeting other couples. It also seems that Shagle features paid streamers, similar to platforms like Instacams or CamMatch. You can make direct video calls to girls by clicking on their profiles in the showcase section. However, direct calls require a VIP membership. One of the good things about Shagle is that it offers live chat support, so if you have any issues or need help, you can connect directly with the support team.
From Sign-In to Your Next Shagle Match
Shagle does not offer a guest user option, so you have to sign in to use the platform. After a quick sign-in process, Shagle gives you access to a random matching system where users can meet different people every time they click the Next button, adding an element of surprise to each conversation. You can also become a VIP member to make direct video calls to girls.
Shagle video chat app works directly in a web browser, so there is no separate software or app download required to start chatting. Users can access the service from desktop or mobile devices and choose between video and text-based conversations, making it easy to take a quick break from the camera without leaving the platform entirely.
Free Chat vs Shagle VIP
Quick answer: Yes, with the platform’s user-friendly interface, you can instantly connect with random people for free. However, you can only use basic filters unless you purchase a VIP membership. After becoming a VIP member, you can access premium features such as location and gender filters.
The Kind of People You Meet on Shagle
Shagle is for anyone who wants to meet new people from all around the world through video chat. Besides random connections, the platform also offers a video call option with girls, which may attract more male users. We can also say that some couples use the service to meet new people and make new friends.
From 2017 to a Global Video Chat Community
Shagle has been operating since 2017 and has built an international video chat community over the years. The platform allows users to connect with people across more than 70 countries, which makes it useful not only for casual conversations but also for cultural exchange and language practice. This global reach gives users a wider variety of people to meet beyond their own country or local community.

What Shagle Offers Beyond Basic Random Chat
If you are here to talk to strangers worldwide, then yes, you are in the right place. Shagle may not be as old as Chatrandom, but it is still one of the most featured sites on the web. You can connect with people from around the world instantly and start anonymous chats in seconds. Everything sounds good, right? There is just one small catch: to use the coolest features, you need to pay and become a VIP member. Shagle offers location filtering options for more than 70 countries, making it easier to enjoy cultural exchange with a large global user base. Shagle states that it has more than 8 million registered users at the time of writing this review.
Shagle has a built-in language translation feature that helps users communicate more easily with people from different countries in real time. Since Shagle is a browser-based site, its intuitive interface makes it easy for users to join random chats on both desktop and mobile devices. You can send virtual gifts to streamers, block users, use virtual masks, find people with similar interests, and enjoy casual social interactions with ease. We spent 7 days on the platform, and we can say that it has a respectful community thanks to its moderation efforts.
The platform does not show how many people are online at the moment, but during our seven-day test, we were able to find people to chat with at different times of the day. Waiting times are a bit longer compared to bigger platforms, and in our experience, they feel similar to Fox Video Chat. New users receive an intro message that explains how the Shagle app works. With Shagle’s fresh perspective, VIP members can use advanced filtering options, match with people who share similar interests, avoid language barriers, practice languages, and build more meaningful connections. With these extra features, the platform becomes much more fun for VIP users.

Quick Tips for Better Use of the Shagle App
- 💡 To get more out of Shagle, we recommend paying for a VIP membership.
- 💡 Use the real-time translator for language practice; it works just fine.
- 💡 Read Shagle’s FAQ page before using the site if you do not want to miss anything.
- 💡 Create a bright and pleasant environment around you on webcam to meet people more easily.
- 💡 If a conversation does not feel right, use the “Next” button and move on to another match. You do not need to stay in an uncomfortable or uninteresting chat.
- 💡 Keep control of your camera and microphone during conversations. If you need a quick break or do not want to be seen or heard for a moment, adjust them before continuing with the next conversation.
- 💡 VIP users can experiment with virtual masks when they want a little more privacy or simply want to make video chats more fun without changing the basic random chat experience.
Shagle Safety and Privacy
Shagle appeared to provide a generally safe environment during our seven-day test. The platform takes user privacy seriously, and as long as you do not share your personal information yourself, Shagle helps protect your private data. Live support is also very important in the video chat industry, as many sites only offer email support, which is not always efficient. Shagle makes a difference here because you can connect to live support at any time of the day and find someone who can help you with your problem.
Moderation and User Control
Shagle has a strong human moderation team. We can say this because, while testing the platform, we tried to trigger the moderation system with inappropriate behavior to see whether active moderation was in place. They missed a few cases, but most of the time, they acted quickly and sent us an inappropriate content warning. Overall, Shagle prioritizes user safety by using moderation systems designed to prevent inappropriate content during chats.
Privacy and Anonymity
The platform uses secure HTTPS connections to help protect data in transit. If you do not share your personal information during video chats, it is very unlikely that you will face any privacy-related issues. As we always recommend, you should read the platform’s privacy policy before you start chatting.
Safety Tips for Anonymous Chatting
- 💡 Do not share your personal information with random people.
- 💡 Stay alert in every conversation, especially with people who try to get private information from you.
- 💡 Avoid sharing real-life details such as your job, city, or daily routine before you know the other person better.
- 💡 Connect to live support whenever you need help.
